Edward Maggs, Maggs Bros Rare Books
The Royal Northern College of Music: to photograph their entire collection of historic musical instruments for the publication of the first printed catalogue. Shortlisted in 2012 for the The C.B. Oldman prize for an outstanding work of music bibliography, music reference or music librarianship.

The Folio Society: to photograph Hereford Cathedral's 'outstanding treasure of the medieval age' — the Mappa Mundi — using composite digital photography. 'An exceptional amount of painstaking work, technical and scholarly, has gone into creating this reproduction. This restoration has been done with authenticity as the sole criterion and without guesswork.'
Peter Barber
'We embarked on this project with high expectations of the professionalism and skill of The Folio Society. The results have surpassed even our hopes. We are thrilled that the thousands of visitors who flock to see the original Mappa Mundi will be able to examine its details at close quarters in the restored Folio Society reproduction.'
Simon Arbuthnot, Chairman of the Trustees of the Hereford World Map
