I’ve been photographing actors for many years and I consider myself very fortunate to work with actors at all stages in their careers, from those just finding their feet in the acting world to more established actors represented by the top agencies in Manchester, the North West and further afield.
I understand the acting industry; the trends that come and go; the likes and dislikes of agents and casting directors; that every actor is unique and has strengths they can promote.
Your headshot needs to be honest, engaging and have a simplicity about it. I always see the shoot as a collaboration and I’m very happy to offer as much advice as you think you need and suggest possible looks.
Every actor I meet and work with is individual and unique. I provide a very personalized service and it’s important for me to know your casting strengths and the roles you’d like to play: how you see yourself and, if you have an agent, how they see you too.
Many actors and agents are using headshots to target castings and role types more closely than ever before so whilst your main shots might be more about ‘you’ and your personality, you may also want to show your range through other images in your portfolio.
I can help you achieve all of this simply and effectively by changing clothes, appearance and location during the shoot which will give you a wide variety of look and style, whether the look you’re after is simply natural and fresh, contemporary, period, corporate, street…. whatever you need. The shoot, however, can be as simple or varied as you want it to be and I’m happy to give any advice you may need to help you get a set of images that look like you (very important!) and that get you work.
The shoot is unhurried and relaxed and generally lasts around 2 hours allowing time to change tops, hair or makeup if necessary. Men, too, can change their look by shaving part way through.
I shoot both outdoors in natural light and in a studio environment to give you the widest variety of images possible. As many shots as necessary are taken during the shoot and at least 150 images are emailed to you to view on colour proof sheets.
£145.00 for a 2 hour shoot resulting in at least 150 shots on the proof sheets plus 5 edited images selected by you and supplied as high resolution files in both colour and black and white.
£100.00 for full-time students, session as above.
£75.00 for young actors 15yrs and under. A 1 hour shoot resulting in 3 edited images in colour and black and white.
Cost of additional images : £10.00 per image, supplied in colour and black and white.
